Very few people succeed entirely on their own…ever.

brainchild of Erick Erickson

Stories about orphans make me sad.

Amazingly blatently stupid. “Someone somewhere is getting something for nothing,” about sums it up.

I’m getting ripped off too but you don’t see me laying the blame at the door of those who are to blame like those smelly kids are doing thank you very much.

Amazing tunnel vision these “conservatives” have. They can go to hell. I worked damned hard all my life and followed the rules. These self declared 53 percenters, who do not represent 53% of the population, are the ignorant assholes who allowed their wall street heroes to rip the rest of us off.

As mentioned before, just look at the first full year of the crisis when workers lost an average of 25 percent off their 401k. During the same time period, the wealth of the 400 richest Americans increased by $30 billion, bringing their total combined wealth to $1.57 trillion, which is more than the combined net worth of 50% of the US population. Just to make this point clear, 400 people have more wealth than 155 million people combined.

No one succeeds entirely on their own.

Elizabeth Warren put it perfectly. So you own a business and you’re doing well…..congratulations. But you use the roads provided by taxpayers to move your goods and services, or to allow customers to your place of business. You rely on the police to keep your storefront safe, firefighters to keep your building standing, the public school system to provide you with workers that are ready for employment….etc etc etc

People talk about the genius of Steve Jobs, but only now I learn that Erick son of Erick all by himself invented the personal computer, the internet (take that Al Gore!), and wired the world without anyone’s help just so he could blog at Redstate.org. Because Erick son of Erick is John Galt!

“I don’t blame Wall Street because it doesn’t matter what Wall Street or anyone else does. I am responsible for my own destiny. I will succeed or fail because of me and me ALONE,” writes another loon. No mention of God in there? That won’t sit well with the masters. Wish they would make up their minds. So confusing.

Does GE count as one of the slackers who doesn’t pay taxes?
